Elect Martha Pritchard Spear to school board
April 27, 2018

To the editor:

Please accept this letter endorsing Martha Pritchard Spear as a candidate for Lake Placid school board. I have known Martha since she moved to the Adirondacks in 2003. Her husband is an old college friend of Chris's. The Spears have lived in Lake Placid for six years. They have a 10-year-old son.

Eleven of Martha's 30 years of professional experience have been in schools, and service is in her blood. She was a board member of Wells Memorial Library in Upper Jay as well as the Clinton-Essex-Franklin Library System. Other organizations' boards she has served on include the Upper Jay Art Center/Recovery Lounge and Adirondack Architectural Heritage. She is the current president of the Lake Placid Rotary Club.

Martha is a devoted mother, an upstanding citizen, an incredibly hard worker, a natural leader and fun to be around.

Thank you for your consideration. And definitely get out to vote for your school board, Tuesday, May 15 from 2 to 9 p.m. at the elementary school. (Correction: The date of the election was incorrect in an earlier version of this letter.)
