LIBRARY NEWS: Programs for all ages at the Lake Placid library
March 8, 2019

February was a busy month at the Lake Placid Public Library.

More than 70 attendees participated in the third annual Tropical Paradise held on Feb. 20. The Library was transformed into a virtual paradise Island with seashells, tropical flowers, deep sea fish and many books and games about the theme.

AARP volunteers spent many days assisting residents with filing their tax returns. This service is open to anyone of any age needing to file a personal federal or state tax return. There is never a charge for this service. They will be at the Lake Placid Public library through March 20. People interested in this service should call 518-523-3200 and leave a name and phone number. A representative from the AARP will call and set up an appointment.

In the gallery, original paper collages by Leslie Rottner will continue to be on display until mid-March.
